About us, our clients, and our experience
The Strategy and Methods Laboratory (or SAM-Lab) provides writing, illustration
and thought leadership development services to large management consulting
companies. Our clients are partners, consultants, and marketers within global
consulting and technology services firms who believe that high quality whitepapers
and smart presentations will advance their business and the caliber of their
offering. Most materials are developed at an executive level, both voiced from
and targeted to top levels of management dealing with enterprise-level business
imperatives.
SAM-Lab was formally founding in the spring of 2003 in Boston when proprietor
and graphics ace Jeff Till ventured on his own to serve a distinct client
base composed entirely of former co-workers and managers that he worked with
during the previous 10 years of his career as a CRM field consultant and marketer
for some of the top management consulting companies.
While still located near Boston, SAM-Lab serves clients globally and has branched
out beyond marketing and CRM to work in nearly every functional practice and
industry vertical that big consulting serves. We have completed over 300 engagements
in those four years, ranging from small emergency client deliverables to globally-launched
studies made available in ten languages and a 160 countries. SAM-Lab also serves
as "consultants to the consulting industry", meaning that we are frequently
tasked with figuring out the best way to sell, market, and improve consulting
services themselves for our clients (in truth, ALL of our activities are ultimately
intended to sell more consulting services). Our client base has also shifted
from solely field consultants and partners to the marketing departments that
support them.
Our clients
Our current and recent clients are some of the biggest and brightest names in the industry. We choose not to disclose their names here due to our private and sensitive role as ghostwriters and shapers of intellectual property. These clients include:
- Five different divisions of one of the largest global management consulting and technology services companies in the world
